Who is Le Petit Quaintrelle?  I am a lovely brown girl; an opinionated pop-culture enthusiast, currently on a Golden Life Journey.  Almost 5 years ago, when I hit 30, I packed up my life and moved from Maryland (the DMV) to New York City to pursue my passion.  In what little spare time I have, I put my energy into “cultivating life’s pleasures”, and generally doing what I want.  Does that sound selfish?

More about me: I earned a degree from one of the top law schools in the country, but left it all behind to pursue a non-legal career.  It was risky, but worth it.  I am nostalgic about the creature comforts of suburbia (parking lots, chain restaurants, shopping malls, etc.), but really I’m a city girl at heart.  I love food.  I like to cook (which is good because I also like to EAT), I like brunch (because I like to eat), and I am a novice runner (thank God for that… did I mention that I LIKE TO EAT?!).  I also like books, movies, boys, and pretty stuff (clothes, shoes, bags, furniture, etc.).  These simple pleasures take me to my Happy Place.

This is a space where I will share life lessons, tips for living well, career advice, and my perspectives on romantic, familial, and peer relationships.  I have an opinion about everything and, here, I will tell you exactly how I see it… whatever “it” may be.

You may be wondering why you should care about my viewpoint.  Well, maybe you shouldn’t.  But just in case you do, I’ve written it all down for you.  Review it, consider it, and then take what you need from it.  Or don’t…
